Table Shiatsu Workshop

Learn how to utilize your body leverage and work with pressure, compressions, stretches and mobilizations in this training. The basic principles of shiatsu will be learnt and how to apply them on a table as well as integrating into a full session. Students will learn how to read the energy and enhance flow through the meridians.

Sports Massage and Taping Techniques Workshop

Sports massage focuses on muscles relevant to the event. For athletes who train continuously, the goal is to enhance endurance, lessen the chance of injury and shorten the time needed to recover from an event. Sports Massage may also be used for injury rehabilitation. This course will explore the mindset and needs of a specific market- including athletes, sports teams, and fitness people. A deeper look at anatomy, pathologies and sports related injuries, including on-site and supervised clinics will be part of this curriculum. From prophylactic to neuroproprioceptive, these tapings can be used to help stabilize a joint, help with postural corrections, help with muscle activation or deactivation and/or help with lymphatic drainage. Prerequisites: Swedish 1, Anatomy 1

Hopi Ear Candling Workshop

Hopi Ear Candling Workshop

The candles work on a chimney principle, drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. They equalize the pressure in the head and ears, making them suitable for most people. Secretion flow is gently stimulated, and the vapours collect and remove impurities or deposits.

Most of these are carried away through the candle “chimney,” although some can be found in the condensed candle wax residue after removal from the ear or could even work up to the surface 24-48 hours after treatment.
