Biochemistry and Molecular Structures
September 27 at 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Monday, repeating until November 1, 2021
In studying nutrition, bodywork and human anatomy, the natural health student learns how the body interacts with different techniques, foods, herbs, etc. The deeper our understanding of how those relationships occur, the better our ability to visualize, digest and integrate the modalities we use in service to our clients, and the more accurately we are able to communicate with our clients’ other health-care professionals. Through the lens of biology, this course looks into the interplay of humans as part of the natural world, and the inner workings of the cells as part of organs and their systems. This course also introduces basic biochemistry concepts as they relate to nutrients and the energetic interactions of matter through metabolism.
Can be taken alone or part of a prerequisite for Holistic Nutrition 2-3.
Mondays 10am – 1pm online Sept 13 – Nov 1, 2021 *no class Oct 11th
(followed by Physiology and Pathology online – Nov 8 to Jan 31, 2022)
